Gianni Rizzotti friulano di nascita e milanese d’adozione, è un fotografo di moda, pubblicità e ritratti. Dopo il diploma alla Scuola di Fotografia di Milano, inizia la sua carriera come assistente di due maestri del click patinato, Serge Libiszewski e Gian Paolo Barbieri.

Fin dall’inizio della sua carriera collabora con agenzie internazionali come Armando Testa, Leo Burnett, J.Walter Thompson, McCann Worldgroup per importanti brand di moda e pubblicità come Versace, Gianfranco Ferré, Fiat, Sony Italia, San Pellegrino, LG, Nara Camicie ed editori quali Condé Nast, Mondadori, RCS, Logos e  L’Officiel.

Ha pubblicato 4 libri: “Nata per Viaggiare”, con foto di moda e reportage dedicato a Nara Camicie, “About Us” storie di bikers sul custom Harley,  “Occhio alla Moto” per EICMA con ritratti di importanti personaggi italiani dell’industria e dello sport ed in ultimo “Beyond the Chef” edito da Skira, 35 cuochi internazionali stellati Michelin ritratti fuori dalle loro cucine in maniera ironica e surreale.

Grazie a quest’opera gli viene consegnato il premio “Positive Photography Experience” al Positive Buisness Award.  

Il 30 settembre 2015 presenta la mostra ‘’Shapes in action’’ all'interno del circuito Milano Photo Festival ed Expo' in città, dove  esplora il nudo d’arte femminile con delle opere di grande formato: corpi liberi di esprimersi con sculture in resina e una corda.

Da settembre 2017 è anche docente al Corso Triennale in Fashion Design alla Raffles Milano Istituto di Moda e Design per il corso di Fotografia.

 

Gianni Rizzotti was born in Friuli and has lived since 1970 in Milan. He’s a fashion, advertising and portrait photographer. 

His teachers were Serge Libiszewski and Gian Paolo Barbieri, two of the most important photographers in the world  of fashion and advertising.

Since the beginning of his career as a photographer, he has worked with some of the most important international agencies such as Armando Testa, Leo Burnett, J. Walter Thompson, McCann Worldgroup for fashion and advertising brands such as Versace, Gianfranco Ferré, Fiat, Sony Italia, San Pellegrino, LG, Nara Camicie and publishers Condé Nast, Mondadori, RCS, Logos and L’Officiel.

Gianni has published four photography books:

“Born to Travel”, dedicated to Nara Camicie, with fashion and landscape photos. 

“About Us” (Bikers’ Stories) Biker’s stories featuring customised  Harley Davidson bikes.

“Occhio alla Moto” requested by EICMA featuring some of the most acclaimed   people from Italian business, television and sport .

“Beyond the Chef” edited by Skira, with 35 international Michelin  chefs, photographed out of the confines of  their kitchens in surreal and eclectic environments, for this work he was awarded the “Positive Photography Experience” prize at the Positive Buisnes Awards.

On 30 September 2015, Gianni presented the exhibition “Shapes in Action” as part of the Milano PhotoFestival ed Expo in Città. Inspired by three resin sculptures and a theatre rope, he explored  nude female in art in large scale works.

September 2017 he has taught at the Triennial Course in Fashion Design at Raffles Milan Institute of Fashion and Design for the Photography course.
